How to Find all the Commands of Jesus

Have you ever wanted to see a list of Jesus’ commands?

There are several ways in which you can accomplish this in Logos Bible Software.

NOTE: If you own and open Logos Bible Software, you can click on the search links and the search will work inside your Logos Bible Software Program.

  • Search > Morph Search > {Speaker <Person Jesus>} <LogosMorphGr ~ V??M????>
  • Search > Bible Search > {Speaker <Person Jesus>} {Section <PropositionalOutline = Command>}
  • Search > Bible Search > {Speaker <Person Jesus>} {Section <PropositionalOutline = Mandate>}
  • Search > Bible Search > {Speaker <Person Jesus>} INTERSECTS {Section <Sentence = Imperative>} (This was suggested by Derrick R. – Great suggestion! Thanks!)

***On a side note, due to Logos’ tagging and the Greek Language, search results will vary. Therefore, I recommend saving each search result to its own passage list and then merge all the passage lists into one list.

To access the passage list from your search results, click the resource panel (See # below), and then click “Save as Passage list) (See #2 below). I recommend naming the lists “Jesus Commands 1, 2, 3, 4” for easy identification.

The following examples are from my training video: Discipleship: Jesus’ Expectations for Being His Disciple, Part 2/2
