How do you measure map distances easily?

Maps are excellent resources to use when studying the Bible. They can be especially helpful in understanding terrain, location, and distance.

For example, do you remember the story in Judges 16:1-3, when Samson carried the doors of Gaza’s city gate and the two posts with the bars and carried them to Hebron?

Using Logos’ map measuring tool, it’s approximately 36 miles/60 kilometers from the city center to city center. Please see the video below for training on this feature.

And by the way, this was not flat terrain; the text clearly states he went up to the TOP of the mountain/hill which is opposite of Hebron.
